Staying True to Myself Growing up can be indicate as learning from mistakes, gaining knowledge, and most importantly, facing reality. Growing up and transitioning to new places is an exciting feeling to some, but for me it was terrifying. Imagine a tall, lanky, preteen girl with pigtails, big feet, deathly afraid of members of the hostile sex, and not to mention the biggest nerd in the eighth grade. toss in a Star Wars backpack, viscous personality and a couple of Barbie dolls and you have me in a nutshell.
