The ultimate goal of FreedomCar is to bring on hydrogen and fuel cell based cargo ships system. This is the long-term goal, which result take some time to be realized. The dependence on imported oil could potentially threaten the energy security of the U.S. Roughly 55 portion of oil we consume is imported and this is expected to go up to 65 percent by 2025.
